Mr Michael Swift will give a lecture for the Dartmouth & Kingswear Decorative and Fine Arts Society exploring some of the finest surviving examples of stained glass in Cornwall and Devon, dating from the Middle Ages to the present day. He will consider both the general development of the art of stained glass over the centuries, and also the place of the stained glass of the south west within that narrative. Mr Swift has enjoyed a long-held position as stained glass advisor to the Diocese of Truro and to Truro Cathedral, and has lectured and published extensively on the stained glass of the region.

The Society welcomes new members, and non-members may attend a lecture at a cost of £8, either as the guest of a member or after contacting the membership secretary. The lecture will take place in The Flavel, Flavel Place, Dartmouth, TQ6 9ND. For more details, visit the Dartmouth & Kingswear Decorative and Fine Arts Society website.
